Locum Tenens: Orthopaedic Surgeon Needed (Near Milner, GA)
Are you a dedicated and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Milner, GA? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital orthopaedic care on a combined scheduled clinical hours and call basis (ASAP - Ongoing).
This locum tenens position offers a chance to provide inpatient surgical services within a defined timeframe, allowing you to contribute to exceptional patient care while managing your workload effectively. We welcome applications from Georgia state-licensed physicians only.
What We Offer:
- Rewarding & Specialized Practice: Utilize your expertise in orthopaedic surgery to manage a variety of orthopaedic conditions in our 10-20 bed inpatient unit. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure timely and high-quality surgical intervention for patients requiring admissions and postoperative care (typical patient volume per shift: 3-5).
- Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and are happy to assist with facilitating temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 30 days). While our facility utilizes both Cerner and Athena EMR systems, we will provide comprehensive training to ensure seamless integration into our workflow.
- Predictable Schedule with Call: Enjoy a defined schedule with predictable call periods alongside scheduled clinical hours. This allows for focused periods of patient care and on-site availability.
- Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with other physicians, nurses, surgical technicians, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your patients. Our facility is stroke-certified, ensuring access to advanced stroke care when needed.
- Multi-Provider Environment: We encourage collaboration within a supportive group setting, welcoming multiple locum tenens providers to contribute their expertise.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery is required. Fellowship training is preferred.
- Active medical license in Georgia (GA) only is mandatory.
- Current certifications in ABLS and BLS are essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an inpatient orthopaedic surgery setting is preferred.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
